Bandana, a national magazine, aims to propagate the Kudmali language. Kudmali Lipi/alphabet has been available, but practitioners are less in number. The language and its alphabet is predominantly used in Assam, Chottanagpur, East Bengal and North Odisha. Bandana espouses the cause of promoting this unique language and popularizing the culture and language among the Assamese, Hindi, Odiya and Bengali population. Bandana has a humble beginning in Harichandanpur, Block-Saharpada, Dist- Kendujhar, Odisha, under the esteemed direction of T.N.Shankar in 2010.To make it available to netizens (net users), its online edition is given shape by the NGO Kudumi Cultural Society(KCS).
